Company's Comin'!!!

Oh, there's lots going on here at the Frock House...no I didn't say Frat House, but it's so messed up at the moment, it might, could look like one. But, it's only temporary. I'm getting ready for my brother, sister-in-law, niece and GREAT niece to arrive for a weekend visit! I'm so very excited.

And, while all that's going on, I want to give you a quick status update on Airman Frock who has left his tech training with a great honor. He was awarded the Knuckle Buster distinction. That means that his flight voted him to be the most technically proficient, knowledgeable, and willing to help the members of his flight so it can be as strong and as ready as possible! Quite an honor and we're very happy for him. He's left Texas and just this week reported at Little Rock Air Force Base where he will finish up the remainder of his training. Then it's off to his first duty station in Florida. We're hoping he'll be able to come home on leave later this summer. Stay tuned for more!

Rory & Fiona are on high alert...

... scanning the horizon for the first signs of company! Nothing yet, Mom...

And in just a few more hours, this is the adorable face that I will kiss and cuddle...because that's why Livy is part of our lives. It's all about the smooches and the hugs!

I get hours to talk to two of my most favorite women in the world! Linda and I long ago dropped the 'in-law' part of our names as we have always felt like true sisters and I am very blessed to have her optimistic, sunny, loving personality as one of my trusted 'go-to girls' when I need the true 411 on any subject. I adore her.

And, by now, it's no secret how I feel about Laura. My Lar-Lar. As a new mom, she brings an even deeper dimension to our relationship as I watch and listen to her navigate this new world of hers. Linda is the reason that Laura understands what it means to be a superlative mother. Linda & Laura...ga, they don't get any better than the two of them.

Don't come any better unless...

...you include this guy in the mix. That's my big brother. That's Glenn. And, well...how do you explain someone who has always been there? Just as important to me as breathing. He took care of me when I was tiny and loved me. He played with me- always had time for me. A rare thing for a boy when it comes to a toddler. As a man, he has been exactly the same way. I'm sure other people have good brothers, but I have been blessed with one of the very best.

No matter how old we get. No matter where life leads us. He is the part that feels like, "Welcome home."

So, I may not be around much as I relish every last second of this visit. And, I know you understand. I hope that your weekend renews your relationships with those who are important to you. And, gives you blessed moments of sharing in their company. It's what makes life sweet. And, we all deserve a little sweet, don't we?

Holly...this isn't in context but I thot I'd catch you quicker here........my first intuition was to ask if you'd ever coned your ears....for I could 'feel' something stuck and painful..........but I decided to wait and go with the energy...that's logic for you.

Linda and Laura ... they are too lovely, look at those smiles, all the way THRU their eyes. And Miss Olivia clearly has inherited THAT trait. I want a Livy smooch, too! [now when I see photos of your actual pet friends, I think of that shelf of Scotty stamps --- hee hee!!!]

HAVE FUN, FORGETTABOUT US, COME BACK TO US WITH STORIES TO TELL!!!

P.S. Your bro' is gorgeous, Dearie ...

dear beautiful Holly.... I've spent days trying to get here. Once again for some unknown reason I haven't been able to access your site.
I was going to leave a note for you at my place, but fortunately I've made it here now.
I'm going to try and catch up what I've missed out on if your site will stay open long enough for me to do this.
thinking of you
Big love to you Ribbon :-)
