It is a sacred moment, quiet
when you are made new
aware of the beauty of life.
A moment when you feel
as though this is the first
time you have seen anything.
Certain that you are seeing
a miracle of such magnitude
that you wonder if you're worthy.
You find it easy to be grateful
The grandeur makes it easy
To find the glory in the expected.
To find the "Ahh!" in the regular
And be delighted with the familiar
To feel connected to the essence of life.
When the day wears on and tests you
It's easy to forget the sunrise moment
Forget the real reason we are here.
In each sunrise rests a moment
That is the portal to a new possibility
Walk through with courage to find your joy.

Holly, the last line is exactly why Charlie's passing at sunrise was and is so significant to me ... "in each sunrise rests a moment that is the portal to a new possibility ...
walk through with courage to find your joy." And the reason I just knew I had to have a sunrise service for him. By then, we all needed to see the portal of new possibilities and to know he passed through his on to find joy.

I've been to Cabo and I've seen that sunrise, and I've felt those feelings, and I've thought those thoughts... just not as eloquently as you.
And yes, you are worthy. So very very worthy.
I felt that this morning ... I love having the birds waking up softly alongside the sun, and me there to hear/sense/be part of it.
