Silent Sermon Sunday

Divine Source who walks with us each day, 

Walk with our son as he, once again, does a warrior's work

In the forbidding, harsh places that call for our nation's children

to do what must be done.

Let him feel your presence in his days.

Keep him aware, open, and attentive.

Let his time in the austere parts of our world

work to deepen his spirit and expand his humanity.
And, help us live as fearlessly while we wait for his return.
