Dear BP
Dear British Petroleum:
There was a time in my world, when BP stood for blood pressure; now it is synonymous with a rise in most Americans' bp, that could make most of us stroke out! Please, I need to know by your actions and not just your talk that you are aware how catastrophic it is...what cutting corners has likely cost us.
Today, my morning contemplation may be something meant for you to consider, so I'll share it here:
" We should not be embarrassed by our difficulties, only by our failure to grow anything beautiful out of them." ~Alain De Botten
I don't care about the how and the details...I just want you to stop defending yourself and get to work returning our Gulf of Mexico into the one that made me sing the Creator's praises when I stood at its edge in December. The place that burned this beautiful image into my brain. You owe us that. You owe us.
Namaste' Till Next Time,
Holly

Yep Holly, this mess is a perfect example on what cutting corners has cost us.... and I think it's only the tip of the eco iceberg.
I too wish BP would get it together and start work on the repair of our beautiful ocean and beaches. For starters, the $50 MILLION ad campaign they just launched to "pump up" their image would be money better spent helping all the people they put out of work.
As always, your words are right on target!
xoxo
Holly, I so agree with you! This entire situation leaves me baffled. My family in New Orleans are already suffering the effects of yet another catastrophe.
Great post, Holly. I've been thinking about whether to write about this, and how to even begin. You've done it beautifully, as usual.
Amen to that!
It is terrible Holly isn't it. I agree with Joanna, it makes me crazy with the way they are dealing with this. It is very sad, I did not know about the 50 million ad campaign....I am sitting here shaking my head.....great post my friend.
I used to live not 45 minutes from Galveston Island. In a sick-selfish way, I'm glad I'm not there today to witness this sh*^.
Stosk up on shrimp before they become shory o' supply. Freezing is nice...
Well put Holly. It is an absolute tragedy, and as you say, BP must stop worrying about their image and just fix things!
